Digital Support Worker

Our digital support worker has been appointed to help clients gain confidence with using computing skills and to show the new possibilities and opportunities these skills can bring.

Some examples of help given since the start of 2019 include the following:

  • Creating and using a social media account
  • Developing a free simple website
  • Arranging NHS services online
  • Learning Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Making mobile data last and making the most of wifi hotspots
  • Online shopping & paying bills
  • Renewing your passport or driving licence online
  • Searching the internet and creating an email account
  • Applying for a blue badge or bus pass
  • Managing your documents or photos and how to store them digitally
  • Accessing and using your Universal Credit account
  • Switching energy suppliers
  • Device maintenance

Over 80 different topics have been covered in sessions since the start of 2019 so please contact us if you are curious to know what we can do for you.


The new Digital Support Service, funded by Oxford City Council, is the result of a partnership between four local advice agencies – Agnes Smith Advice Centre, Barton Advice Centre, Rosehill and Donnington Advice Centre, and Citizens Advice Oxford.  Appointments are available at all four advice agencies. 

Appointments at Barton Advice Centre are on Wednesdays and Fridays.
