Oxfordshire Welfare Rights provide training to all service providers countywide. Our courses are designed and delivered by staff who have extensive knowledge in Social Security law.

We can deliver training on:

  • Employment and Support Allowance
  • Disability Benefits (PIP, DLA and AA)
  • Tax Credits
  • Income Support
  • Jobseekers Allowance (including sanctions)
  • Housing Benefit
  • Universal Credit
  • Overpayments
  • Challenging benefit decisions
  • Preparing for appeal
  • Tribunal representation

Our training is delivered here in Barton. However we can deliver in-house training for individual organisations. As well as our annual training program, we can write and deliver bespoke training courses for particular client groups.

Training costs

I full day training (10am - 4pm)   £80.00
 Part day training (10am - 3pm)  £70.00
 Half day courses (10am - 1pm)  £45.00
 'Off the shelf' in-house full day  £750 for 10 people plus travel expenses
 'Off the shelf' in-house half day  £350.00 plus travel expenses
 Bespoke training in-house  £850.00 plus travel expenses

New services providing advice on Welfare Benefits

We can now offer two new services to organisations providing advice on welfare benefits:

  • Bespoke one to one mentoring in preparing for and representing at appeal hearings. This will include observing a caseworker representing at a Tribunal.
  • Supervision services for advice providers offering advice in welfare benefits.
